Students vs The Real world

Salem

I was reading an assignment that a co-worker wrote the other day which sparked a thought in my mind and it stayed there for a while and I thought I’d write about it. have you noticed that conventional school doesn’t really teach you anything about life? I mean yeah we get the theories and the histories of what is going to work for most of the people but does it really teach us anything? I bring up the point of home schooling and tutoring. Most of the people who’ve ever been a part of these types of schooling seem to do just as well if not better that the classical institutional setting of our wonderful “schools” and have you ever thought even just for a moment that maybe it’s just a money racket? I mean think of the money spent on tuition and it gets raised every year hmmmm, what about the fact of some course making no forcing you to take these god awful bird courses that remind you of high school. I know this sounds like a rant on the concept of education but I mean truly are we actually learning anything? I’m starting to wonder.

well, some of us get useful science degrees!!!

Teaching is up to the teacher, whether they’re a parent, professor, etc. but learning is completely up to you.
