Shores of Knowledge
“Claire! Come on, Wait up!” Tobias yelled ahead to his sister who was about 1/2 a kilometre in front of him jogging. The small russett pixie of a girl turned and started running backwards and said “Hey Tobs, If you wouldn’t sit in front of the TV so much, you wouldn’t feel as though you’re running a marathon!” To the forest wildlife thesee two looked like semi-intruders. The only thing keeping them from becoming part of the forest was the noise Tobias was making. “There it is!” Claire exclaimed with joy as she saw the ruins of a once beautiful Cathedral. “Claire, What is it?” Her brother asked.
Tobias Ganney was a little on the smallish side for a twelve year old. He had bright green eyes and hair blacker than coal. He took after the Roman side of the family. Claire on the other hand was a bit of an anomaly. She had the same olive skin as the rest of her family, yet her flame and russett hair paired with Dove gray eyes made her a sight to marvel. She was two weeks past celebrating her seventeenth birthday. School had been done now for about a month and for Summer vacation Her and her brother were going to spend it on an island right between Scotland and Ireland in the Irish Sea. They were to be spending it with family. According to Tobias this family is what you would have if you crossed the Munsters and the Addams Family and added an Irish Brogue. Claire had tried to make Tobias’ adjustment here as painless as possble, however it seemed that every time she tried to plan something fun, Tobias would find fault with it. So this is how she came up with the Idea of showing Tobias the old ruins of the Picts. Tobias loved castles, ruins, and such the like, So Claire, knowing this and visiting this place every time she comes to the island felt it was time to show Tobias. This where we return to our characters…
